Five Highly Rated Witchy Book Series

5 Highly Rated Witchy Book Series

I’ve been reading The Witch Haven by Sasha Peyton Smith and The Ex Hex: A Novel by Erin Sterling and they got me in a real mood for other witch books, I seriously wish magic was a real thing and I know I’m not alone in that. I did a quick search on Amazon and I immediately fell down the Amazon rabbit hole and surfaced with way more books than I can read in one spooky season. Although admittedly I’ll read witch books any time of the year! What better way to stretch out a mood than with a series?

Here are a few highly rated witchy book series:

  1. Witches of Keating Hollow series- the first book, Soul of the Witch came out in 2018 by & Bayou Moon Publishing. There are currently 12 books in the series. This one is said to be a fantasy romance, which gives me Ex Hex vibes.
  2. Case Files of an Urban Witch series by___. The first book is called Secret Agent Mom and was published this year in 2021 by ThLmbpn Publishing. This series is categorized as paranormal fantasy and I can’t wait to dig in. There are currently 8  books in the series.
  3. The Witch Next Door Series has multiple authors: Judith Berens, Martha Carr, Michael Anderle. This series has 8 books in the series and was first published in 2019 LMBPN Publishing by and the first book is called One Witch Too Few.

And of course, no list of witchy books could be complete without Kim Harrison’s Hollows series and Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy…

  1. The best-selling Hollows series by Kim Harrison. It’s safe to say that Rachel Morgan must be one of my favorite fictional witches, all the Hollows characters feel like family to me at this point. I’ve read all of the full-length books in this series to date, including the prequel The Turn and I just adore this series. Her latest installment, Trouble with the Cursed will be out in June of next year and I cannot wait! The first book Dead Witch Walking was published in 2004  by Harper Collins publisher and there are 15 books in the series as of the date of this post, with book number 16 coming out in 2022 called Trouble with the Cursed. The next step for me while I’m waiting for the next release (😉) is to collect all of them as physical copies and to read more of the short stories related to the Hollows series.
  2. Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy. This one always gives me all the Halloween feels when I read it and makes me want to be a part of their world. The first book, A Discovery of Witches, came out in 2011 by Penguin Books. And there are 4 books now in the series, I believe.  Plus, I absolutely love the tv series on Sundance.

(Dear, Kim Harrison!! Any plans to get Rachel Morgan out on TV or in the Movies?)

I’m very excited to read the ones that were recommended by Amazon and I would love to know what your favorite witch series is as well. Please comment below.
