November to be Read (TBR)

November TBR
Books I was planning to read in november 2020

Hello! Here we are and it’s almost Thanksgiving already! I meant to post this at the beginning of the month, but of course, the month got away from me. Here are the books that I had roughly planned on reading this month and Ugh! My intention is to post my list at the beginning of the month to keep myself accountable.

That’s just like me… I plan on having a plan and end up just winging it anyway. Truth be told though, I really do like having my reading list ready even if I end up changing it as I go along. How about you? Do you keep to a set list? Or are you a mood reader like me?

Better luck next month right? Here is what was on my TBR for November 2020:

Kill Creek by Scott Thomas and Home Before Dark by Riley Sager These two were on my Spooky Season Books recommendation list.

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith

The Eighth Detective by Alex Pavessi

The Girl in the Mirror by Rose Carlyle

The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscany by Lori Nelson Spielman

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier –This one has been on my TBR list for a couple months and I really do want to get to it soon! I want to read this one before I watch the Netflix movie and the temptation is real! Netflix keeps it right up in my face and it looks good!

The Turn by Kim Harrison

Circe by Madeline Miller—Another book that’s been on my TBR for what seems like forever and it looks so good!

Audio Books

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

The Adventuress by Tasha Alexander (This is #10 in the Lady Emily series)-A historical mystery series set in 1800s England (Although this particular one is mostly set in France).

Twisted Twenty-Six by Janet Evanovich-somehow I missed this one last November??? Then I plan on reading Fortune & Glory which just came out this month by Janet Evanovich–I love Stephanie Plum and this has been a favorite series of mine for almost 15 years.

I had vowed to myself that I wouldn’t buy any more books after my recent Fall Book Haul and I have stuck to that……mostly. I made the exception for my Book of the Month subscription and this will likely always be an exception to any of my no book buying months (if such a thing can exist!).

I almost added some holiday-inspired books to my November TBR, but I had to put myself in check. I still have a few spooky books from October that I’d like to read still and need to keep my holiday spirit at bay for just a little longer! 🤞

What was on your TBR this month?

Are you already in the mood for the winter holidays or are you fighting it like me? I mean they are playing holiday music on the radio where I am, so that’s a hard battle to win! Especially this year when we need all the cheer we can get, right?

A Novel Tea MugThe tea that I’m currently loving is an organic Spicy Ginger one from Tazo. This is an herbal tea that warms you up from the inside and makes you feel as cozy as sitting by a glowing fire. I’m thinking of trying a tea subscription box and might do a post in the future with my research. In the meantime, does anyone have a tea box subscription recommendation?

Goodreads Yearly Challenge

12/14/2020 update: So, I seem to be getting further and further from reaching my Goodreads 50 books goal this year. I hate to admit it (and I’m sure that I’m completely in the minority in this), but I spent absolutely zero time reading during most of quarantine! No idea why….really, I spent a lot of time watching TV and have no legit excuses. That said, I thought for sure when November started out that I would be able to make this goal. That’s sadly not going to happen with only 32/50, but you know what? I’m having a blast trying! Follow me on Goodreads 😊 Happy reading!

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!! ~❤Renee
